Achievements

A better understanding of how bicycle parking is used is helping Queensland Government to improve provision and management of facilities at public transport.

Queensland Rail has undertaken a complete audit of secure bicycle parking facilities on their Citytrain network to understand how people are using these facilities.

Based on our findings, we have delivered new bicycle parking facilities at stations on the Redcliffe Peninsula Line and installed bicycle racks where not currently available.

Next steps

We will continue to deliver bicycle parking facilities at stations on the Queensland Rail network to support people to ride a bicycle as part of their journey.
