Achievements

We engaged with key internal stakeholders to seek feedback on the implementation of the Cycling Infrastructure Policy.

The policy requires us to consider and provide for bicycle riders during planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of the state-controlled transport network. The location of the project determines what needs to be provided. 

Key recommendations of the consultation included providing additional training for staff and implementation of formal processes to monitor and report on implementation.

Next steps

We will implement formal processes to monitor and report on implementation of the Cycling Infrastructure Policy and provide training for our staff.
