Action 1.2: Review and publish Priority Route Maps every 2 years to support the Principal Cycle Network Plans and reflect current delivery priorities.
Lead agency: Department of Transport and Main Roads
Status: Being finalised
Achievements
Priority Route Maps are helping guide the delivery of a connected and cohesive cycle network across Queensland.
Produced as addendums to the Principal Cycle Network Plans, the maps currently cover 48 local government areas to assist in prioritising cycling infrastructure projects.
We are working with local governments to update existing Priority Route Maps to respond to changes in demand and priority.
We are also developing new Priority Route Maps for Barcaldine, Blackall-Tambo, Longreach, Winton and Boulia local government areas.
Next steps
We will publish updated and new Priority Route Maps in 2020.
