Between October and December 2022, we successfully delivered 6 training courses focused on active transport infrastructure planning, design and operation:

  • Walking Infrastructure Half-Day Overview (Bundaberg)
  • Walking Infrastructure Masterclass (Bundaberg)
  • Pedestrian and Cycling Provision for Planners and Managers (Bundaberg and Brisbane)
  • Designing for Pedestrians and Cyclists (Bundaberg and Brisbane)

  • Separated Cycle Tracks Masterclass (Brisbane).

Courses included field trips, theoretical learning and practical exercises to help participants build their knowledge and skills in the planning, design and operation of walking and cycling infrastructure.

Next steps

We will continue to offer the training courses in 2023 in a variety of Queensland locations. We will also explore developing new training in response to emerging issues and look at different formats to maximise flexibility, participation and learning.
