Overview

Action 1.26: Plan and deliver bicycle access to and, where possible, bicycle parking at Cross River Rail stations.

Lead agency: Cross River Rail Delivery Authority

Status: Long-term

Achievements

At 1 November 2022, we have completed station excavation and tunnelling works across all Cross River Rail station sites and started station build and rail installation activities.

Designs for public realm, station buildings and active transport connections have been finalised.

Cross River Rail Priority Development Areas have been declared for Albert Street, Roma Street, Woolloongabba, and Boggo Road Station Precincts. The areas will help manage future development and active transport connections to and through the precincts.

Next steps

Cross River Rail station builds will continue over the next 24 months to implement issued construction designs.

We will also continue to advance the Cross River Rail Priority Development Areas development schemes for the Boggo Road and Woolloongabba Station precincts.
