Prioritising delivery of the Principal Cycle Network

Priority Route Maps identify the delivery priority assigned to principal cycle routes and are available on the Transport and Main Roads website.

Overview

Action 1.3: Update Priority Route Maps to reflect current delivery priorities for each Principal Cycle Network Plan.

Lead agency: Department of Transport and Main Roads

Status: Carried forward to Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023–2025.

Achievements

Priority Route Maps help prioritise cycling infrastructure projects and guide the delivery of a connected bicycle network across Queensland.

Implementation of this action is dependent on development of the updated and consolidated Queensland Principal Cycle Network being delivered through Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023–2025 Action 1.4.

Next steps

Delivery of this action has been carried forward to Action 1.4 in the Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023–2025.

Through this action, we will update the Priority Route Maps once the Queensland Principal Cycle Network is finalised.
