Overview

Action 1.19: Update focal point maps for the principal cycle network to support accurate and consistent signing of the network.

Lead agency: Department of Transport and Main Roads

Status: Carried forward to Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023-2025

Achievements

Focal points are used to plan cycle route signage and are listed on signs with the bicycle network. A focal point is a destination where routes join, cross or end.

Implementation of this action is dependent on the development of the updated and consolidated Queensland Principal Cycle Network and Priority Route Maps being delivered through Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023–2025 Action 1.4

Next steps

Delivery of this action has been carried forward to Action 1.13 in the Queensland Cycling Action Plan 2023-2025.

Once the Queensland Principal Cycle Network and Priority Route Maps are developed, we will review and update focal point maps to support accurate and consistent signing of the network.
